So I do this thing where whenever I finish an anime I evaluate whether it’s appropriate or not for preteens. Then, if so, I write it on a piece of paper tacked to my sister, Sweetie Belle’s, bedroom wall.

There’s a rather large list right now and me and my sisters, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom, are pacing through it on a fairly regular basis.

Today we started Durarara!!

The third episode is the one where Izaya smashes that ganguro girl’s phone, laughing like the beautiful maniac he is. SB starts laughing too, but it’s obvious that it’s that “holy shit I don’t know why I’m laughing but if I stop I’m going to start crying” kind of laugh. She does it fairly often. She’s…a delicate thing.

Anyway, in the middle of her hysterical laughter, she says “He’s such a freak!” She is obviously kind of terrified of him. I don’t think my sisters have put together that he’s the one I cosplay yet, and so she doesn’t realise that this might possibly offend me.

Me: Excuse me?

Izaya-muse: “pffff ahahahaahahahahaha Your sister’s awesome, I love humans!”

Me: Izzy you’re not helping…

So yes. It’s been a very interesting evening.
